Consultation for Non-Profits

My parents’ values have informed my mission in working with the non-profit arena: I want to give comfort to those who need it and to motivate people who are comfortable to step forward to share their time and assets and make a difference. My consulting work focuses on helping new organizations start up effectively and helping existing organizations to improve. I focus on strategic planning, board governance, executive skill development, annual fundraising and capital campaigns.
For 24 years, I worked with and on behalf of children, youth and families. For 18 years, I worked on behalf of elders. I worked in leadership roles in the non-profit sector and in local government. At my last job at Cedar Sinai Park, we raised $1 mi. annually and our most recent capital campaign raised $20 mil. References with past clients are available upon request.
The management, strategic planning, fundraising and advocacy skills acquired from my professional path are at the heart of my approach to consulting. I enjoy collaboration with Boards of Directors and their executive staff.
In addition to my work as an executive, it was my privilege to share my skills as an adjunct faculty member at Portland State University School of Social Work. My classes focused on management of human services organizations and fund development.
